The pants serious backcountry skiers actually wear.
GORE-TEX ePE Pro is Patagonia's top-tier waterproof fabric — lighter and more breathable than standard GORE-TEX, which matters when you're skinning 3,000 feet before your first run. The PowSlayer is built for people who earn their turns: articulated patterning for full stride on the uphill, sealed seams and a deep powder cuff for the downhill.
Minimalist by design. No insulation, no fluff. This is a shell pant that works with your layering system, not in spite of it.
Best for: Backcountry touring, splitboarding, high-output days in variable Sierra conditions. Steep & deep.
Not for: Resort-only nice day skiing — if you're mostly on the chairlift, the insulated Recon pant will keep you warmer for less money.
Fit note: These run large for freedom of movement. Size down one from your usual size if in-between sized.
Backcountry touring and deep powder days.
Resort storm laps with full freedom to move.
Technical alpine missions demanding maximum protection.
3-layer GORE-TEX® ePE Pro shell: Ultralight, waterproof, windproof, and PFC-free.
Articulated design: Full range of motion for climbing, skiing, and riding.
Minimalist waist & side vents: Custom fit and quick ventilation.
Watertight zippers & cargo pockets: Streamlined function and storage.
Durable cuffs with gaiters: Snow stays out; durability stays in.
Built-in RECCO® reflector: Added safety for rescue detection.
Ethically made: Fair Trade Certified™ construction from recycled materials.
